On June 5th, ADOR released a statement, saying “As a result of our continuous monitoring of various online communities, we have noticed the spread of malicious comments, slander, defamation and false information about NewJeans members. In particular, we are also aware of the recent increase in the level of anonymous posts targeting NewJeans”.
The agency firmly said, “We are preparing for legal action, such as filing civil and criminal lawsuits, and will not allow agreement or leniency in any case during the process”.
In addition, ADOR said, “We plan to use all means and methods to identify anonymous writers of posts in online communities, which are difficult to track, and take legal action”.
ADOR also attached provided an official account for official legal responses and asked fans to actively report malicious acts.
